About

Aleena is a multilingual who speaks English, Pashto, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. She enjoys learning new languages and is currently at an intermediate level in Korean. Throughout highschool and University Aleena has enjoyed volunteering and working with kids at daycares and elementary school programs. She has volunteered at Ausome Ottawa for the past 4 years where she developed relationships with autistic kids one-on-one. She ensured a fun and engaging experience while helping them achieve their highest potential in different types of physical activity and sports.

Aleena had her first exposure to physiotherapy and occupational therapy at the hospital when one of her family members needed to get stronger and be able to do daily tasks again after a sudden illness. Since then she has worked at a physiotherapy clinic where she gained experience while shadowing physiotherapists. Aleena has been volunteering with On The Ball since last year and thoroughly enjoyed helping the therapists with their sessions and is excited to continue as a PTA/OTA.
