Jordan Doucette BSc.KN
Physiotherapist Assistant and Occupational Therapist Assistant
Jordan is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics (BSc. HK) with a minor in aging studies. Throughout his university studies, Jordan accumulated training and experience in a variety of physio and occupational therapy settings. Most recently, completing an internship with Neurogym Rehabilitation where he carried out exercise treatment programs for clients with neuromuscular disorders.
He is experienced treating clients across the age spectrum ranging from young children to older adults. His passion for working with children began at an early age when he coached youth swimmers of the Future Olympians Swim Club in his hometown of Timmins, Ontario. This passion led him to reach out to therapists in the Ottawa region to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of pediatric therapists.
Jordan was a competitive swimmer for 13 years including 5 years as a varsity athlete with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. This experience, along with his university education provided him with superior knowledge of athletic training, biomechanics, and sequencing exercise programs.
He is eager to enhance his knowledge and skills as a PTA/OTA while working with clients at On the Ball Pediatric Physio and Occupational Therapy along with their amazing team of therapists. In his spare time, Jordan enjoys swimming, exploring the many green spaces within the Ottawa area, and attending the occasional yoga class. In the future, Jordan is hoping to pursue more course work to expand his knowledge of pediatric therapy to ensure the highest level of care for his clients.
