Samantha Albert BA
Clinic Coordinator, PTA/OTA, Yoga and Fitness
Samantha is the clinic coordinator at Pediatric Physio and Occupational Therapy as well as being the physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistant, children's yoga and fitness instructor. She is also a licenced Rhythmic Movement Training consultant through Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi). Samantha got her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Ottawa and studied Child Life through McMaster University. Samantha is a children's yoga instructor certified through Rainbow Kids Yoga International as well as a licensed practitioner of Yoga for the Special Child. She has completed the CanFit Children's Fitness Coach program and is a certified Drums Alive instructor. Samantha has a special interest in primitive reflex integration and the role it takes in child's development. She is a licenced and registered consultant with Rhythmic Movement Training International and has also taken the Brain Highways Screening Training. Samantha holds certificates in Palliative care, ABA Therapy, Reiki (level 3), DIRFloortime and behavioural therapy. She is passionate about using movement and play in her sessions as well as using a child-led Floortime approach. As well as private sessions, Samantha has taught yoga and movement at schools, daycare centres, camps and with Ausome Ottawa, a non-profit organisation that provides group classes to children with Autism.
Samantha is a mother of 2 and enjoys kickboxing, curling, playing guitar and bass, volunteering in her community, travelling and spending time outside.
