Leanne is a registered Occupational Therapist in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Distinction in 2010, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2012.
Leanne has always been passionate about working with children. She has spent the past 7 years with Parkland School Division, starting on the Early Childhood Services team before accepting the role of Divisional Occupational Therapist where she supported school-aged children in both inclusive and alternative environments. She was also a member of the Division’s Complex Needs Team, which supported students with severe/multiple disabilities. She has experience working at multiple levels of the education system and on multi-disciplinary teams. She is comfortable working with children of all abilities, and welcomes opportunities to collaborate with families and other professionals whenever possible.
Leanne continues to expand her skill set and values ongoing professional development. She has additional training in Literacy Instruction For Students with Complex Needs, Assistive Technology, the SCERTS model, Sensory Integration and the SOS Approach to Feeding.
Leanne has recently relocated to the Ottawa area with her husband. In her spare time, you can find her running on the trails or hanging out with her two little dogs, Rico and Sassy!
